5.70 Outcasts is a Carolina-based drag racing group built on one simple idea: if you can run the number, you belong here.
What is 5.70?
5.70 is our index. That means every car in the field is shooting to run as close to a 5.70-second elapsed time as possible without going quicker. It's a test of driver skill, chassis setup, and consistency — not just who has the biggest budget.
Whether you're on a small tire or a big tire, naturally aspirated or on the bottle, the index levels the playing field.
Who Can Race?
Bring your dragster. Bring your door car. Bring your street car. We don't care about power adders, body styles, or brand loyalty.
Big tire or small tire. Naturally aspirated, turbo, blower, or nitrous. If you can run 5.70, you're an Outcast.
Where We Race
We're rooted in the Carolinas. Our first race is August 29 at Mooresville Dragway in North Carolina — one of the most historic tracks in the region.
As the group grows, we'll keep adding dates and tracks that serve the Carolina racing community.
